My Impressions of the NBN Broadcast of the TLM

I wish to congratulate the organizers who made possible the airing of the Traditional Latin Mass (Midnight Mass) from the St. Jerome Emiliani and Sta. Susana parish in Alabang Town Center, Mandaluyong City. This was the first time that the TLM was broadcast on national TV. We hope that our Bishops will take note of this. I believe that if the TLM is made available in every diocese it will somehow influence the way the Novus Ordo is celebrated. The current Novus Ordo we see on TV every Sunday are dismall, some are poor attempts to imitate the style of televangelists. Some do not even observe the rubrics of the N.O. The altar is not well arranged. In some instances the altar is bare, even more bare than a protestant church. While some priests are trying hard to immitate chararismatic televangelists with their "entertaining sermons". I hope that with the celebration of the TLM, our brethren will take notice and make the celebration of the Mass reverent and foster the spirit of sacredness and prayerfullness.
