Awashed in Light: Christ the King Plaza in front of the Centuries Old Parish Church in Tabaco City
I am glad that the plaza in front of our church had been refurbished and restored to its beauty. Tonight while passing through the plaza on my way home, I cant help it but admire its beauty. I took this snap shot using my mobile phone. Filipinos love to celebrate lights as symbols of Christmas. To this effect every home and every public places are decorated with paper lanterns shaped like a star. This paper lanterns are shaped by a bamboo frame and then covered by Japanese papers of varying colors. And I am also happy that in our country Christmas is celebrated with the images of the manger and the child Christ. Unlike in other countries where the display of this religious symbols are forbidden, here in our country we celebrate Christmas and we know that we celebrate it because of Christ. Christmas will never be Christmas without Jesus Christ. "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life."
