I was reminded of my visit to Dumaguete City three years ago in 2006 when I presented a paper on the National Conference of the Anthropological Society of the Philippines (UGAT) held at Silliman University. During intervals and free time I took the time to visit the Cathedral Church of Dumaguete. This church is dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria.
The Image of St. Catherine depicted with the Wheel used to show the manner of torture she endured as a martyr. The Dumaguete Cathedral
The Tower. This is the Old Belfry that used as look out during the 18th Century. Today the people of Dumaguete are proud of this symbol.
