Church of St. Raphael the Archangel

This is the Church of St. Raphael the Archangel located in the Port Area of Legazpi. The Pastor is the Most Reverend Lucilo B. Quiambao, D.D. Titular Bishop of Nabala, Auxilliary Bishop of Legazpi. Currently the Bishop is the Administrator of the Diocese of Legazpi. Recently he made news by prohibiting masses to be said for Ka Beltran. Emphasizing provisions of Canon Law and Church regulations. We should support him for his Christian courage to stand for the faith and custom of the Church. We should pray that we should have more Bishops who should stand for truth and for the Church. Dear Bishop we support you and we pray that the Lord will give you more strength and that other Bishops will also emulate your courage.

The Belfry of the Church. Take note of the Bells. Unfortunately seldom do we hear these bells anymore. Has it fallen into disrepair?

Penaranda Street is Legazpi's Old Shopping District, it is still popular today. But with expansion in different parts of the City there are competing centers for commercial activity.
